MISSION

For Team Xcel Tigers, our mission is clear; we will teach young male and female athletes the fundamentals of basketball.  We will evoke a desire in them to embrace the game with excitement and effort. Our players will learn that “winning is not everything” but winning is a byproduct of fundamentals and hard work. Our unique form of educating will allow them to compete when they get to the high school level.

HISTORY

Founded and established in 2007 by Coach Dennis Brown, Team Xcel Tigers basketball program is already popular with local high school varsity coaches. Our coaching staff has over 80 years of high school varsity coaching experience. There is not a travel program in the Inland Empire that can boast having four varsity coaches on its staff.

Team Xcel Tigers was created because of the overwhelming lack of basketball fundamentals of high school athletes. This phenomenon is due to the lack of attention to detail placed on the athletes at a young age. Our staff will draw on all of its experience, patience and teaching skills to bridge this gap.

Team Xcel Tigers is a California nonprofit corporation and tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
